Hi to all,

I went to see gp yesterday afternoon to be told i need a hip replacement in my right hip really painfull swelling and stiff sometimes feels worse @t night i cannot get comfy to sleep 😑 most nights.
(I do have a walking sticks but they are not good when you have lots of grandchildren and they dissapear from where you left it)
Pain killers are not helping either.)
Anyone have any bright ideas.

Be sure to ask your gp to refer you to a hip specialist, this is a surgeon that handles nothing but hip problems. Did you have an MRI? A very good friend of ours had his hip done at the age of 70. He kept putting it off for years mainly out of fear, he suffered with pain too. After surgery, he said he wished he had done the surgery much sooner, he has done great.
