allergic to medicine????

I have a long list of medicines which I have had very unusual reactions to and actually wear a medic alert around my neck.  Am extremely allergic to drugs.  So long for now.

What sort of reactions do you get Joan? I have unusual reactions too to certain meds such as sulfa. My symptoms range anywhere from hives to severe intestinal upset. Codeine gives me intense migraines. I used to wear a medic alert bracelet too but it got to be too cumbersome.

i was hospitalized because of nitric oxide, was also very bad on codeine, can't handle any usual pain killers now because i have ibs w/constipation now (codeine and darvon to name the main ones). I had motion sickness from velosett for a few weeks, tetracyline keeps me up and very alert, can not sleep with it, also came down with problems with high blood pressure...ace inhibitors gave me reflux and my doctor said i can not have beta blockers. sulfa drugs made me turn up with a rash. I can only handle the mycine family for antibiotics. i am a very allergic person. so long for now

Red, I used to wear one of those medic alert things on a chain around my neck, but it always got tangled with my good jewelry and I finally gave up on it.  I am also allergic to codeine.  I know I should wear it because it has other important important information on there also.

eyes   eyes yes, kclay, I am also allergic to dust, molds, weeds, and danders from animals and pollens.  I wear my medic alert because it is very important for doctors to know I am allergic to medicine.  When they put me out for my hyperparathyroidism that is the first thing I asked for when I got up in the recovery room.  It is not jewelry to me it is vital information.
