You definitely need to see either an allergist or pulmonoligist. In my unprofessional opinion, I don't think you should leave home without having the proper tools in case it happens again and there is no one around to help you.
My asthma is severe. I never leave home without my portable nebulizer which can be used in the car, my inhaler, my epi pen and a bottle of water. I would much rather be able to get it under control myself than have to go to my doctor's office or even worse have to go to the ER and have to take three or four injections of epinephrine.
