Its not a great picture but it has been there for over 2 months now and has a small lump at the bottom, is very annoying! its usually redder then it appears and i cant seem to budge the red skin, any help much appreciated

That can be almost anything from a boil to block glands. If it's been there that long then it's best to be seen by a doctor.

I've been doctors and got too see dermotologist but not for 2 months

If it hurts you can try doing warm compresses. If it's a cyst, boil or a zit, the warm compresses should bring it out. Also, you may want to try either Benedryl cream or an antibiotic ointment. Did the doctors give you any clue as to what it might be?

ive got things like sudocrem and savlon but it doesnt seem to be something which i can bring out just gets hard. isnt sore or anything think i will just have to wait for it to dry up?

Do you have any drainage with it? I see a small yellowish spot...is that just the head or does it look under the head as well? Do you feel it underneath your skin? Change colors or sizes or shapes?

I had to look up savlon and sudocrem because I had no idea what they were! lol Are you in the UK?

Try the warm compresses because they will not only soothe the skin but it can help soften whatever that is. And don't touch it. If you play with it and it becomes harder that is your body's inflammation response in which it will become larger. You never did answer my question, did the doctors ever give you an idea of what it is?

Hey

The GP wasnt really sure and said it was probably something to do with itching around that area or maybe hayfever, it hasnt really had any drainage but there is something under the skin and will move about a bit, i dont want to prob it around any more as it seems to make it worst,

yeah try them for like 10 mins each time twice a day but it goes down and then just comes back and doesnt help the redness at all :(

Still got this problem! finally been to dermo and she said its blocked sweat gland. its still got a slight lump and is red, been told to moisturise it but it has now been over 4 months! any one got any ideas on blocked sweat glands? any creams treatment etc

I wished I could help you. I did a search and the only answer I found was other then to keep using warm compresses and moisturize is to have it drained. Did the doctor mention any other sort of treatment?

Maybe you should see another doctor......a second opinion. Maybe they can open it up and drain it for you.

exeter in devon. im thinking about seeing an eye doctor? any one know how i go about doing this? when i put in eye doctor it comes up with opticians!? i think i need an optometrist or something? Cheers

I don't think an eye doc can help you since it really isn't on your eye. I would stick to a dermatologist. I'm in the states so I am not sure how you're healthcare system works. So hopefully someone can come along and answer that question for you.
