Advair black box warning

Is anyone going to switch meds b/c of the new black box warning on Advair?

Google search it. My husband told me it was on the news today. It seems like it is especially important for African Americans not to use it. It caused deaths in a clinical trial. It's a shame. I don't know what to do.

I have not had any problems with it and it has helped me but I dunno..... My asthma is not real bad. I think it is just b/c the pollution in our town is horrible. Hoping to actually move soon, keeping my fingers crossed.

I have been on it for 3 years and NO problems. Actually they have tried to take me off for 7 days for a methocholine challenge and if I miss 2 doses< I am wheezing and my pulse ox drops. SO I CAN'T come off it.

P.S. The choking happened to me alittle at first...I think it is getting used to inhaling the powder.

I agree with Judy the warning is not new, and it's had it's pull off the market once..
But Advair does help some people, so I would say try it and if it can help you then use it..but get into your doctor
if you do have problems to it, like any medicine not all medicines will work for all people as we are all different.
Advair does not help me, so I have to use something else, but I did try it.
