are you having a trytase level performed? If so, it's always recommended that you stay on your meds.
Claratan is an H1 inhibitor. It's supposed to lower your histamine levels. That being said, as a systemic mastocytosis patient I can tell you that it doesn't even make a dent in my tryptase level. It was originally 73.5 (normal being between 3-11). A year after taking meds (claratan, zantac, aspirin and gastocrom) it's now 83.
