What are effective drug free nasal sprays for sinusitis?

I am a semi-retired 65 year old. I have recently started suffering from sinusitis. Since I have a strong dislike of drugs, my doctor suggested that I use a Neti-pot and drug free nasal sprays to de-congest my nose.

I did try using the Neti-spray a few times, but I was not comfortable using it. I prefer using a nasal spray.

May I request the experts on this forum to suggest an effective, drug free nasal spray. From what I have read about Sinusitis, it seem that the problem starts when mucus accumulates in the nose passage and the sinuses. How do the ingredients in the nasal spray get rid of the mucus and the germs?

You can make your own nasal rinse with 1/2 tsp salt in a cup of water. I found a recipe that called for adding 1/2 tsp baby shampoo which helps break down the coating on bacteria. I've used the recipes and found them effective with and without the shampoo, for myself.

Even the "Netti Pot" (I use a small ordinary teapot) doesn't get up into all the sinuses. I can't get anything to go all the way up to my frontal sinuses. I think they are blocked from having my nose broken and septum displaced.

You can re-use a spray bottle, but you should thoroughly disinfect it! Straight bleach works fine, but rinse well. Even the Netti Pot needs to be disinfected every time you use it, or you'll just reinfect yourself. Don't save any solution in a container that has gone into your nose.

I thought i had allergies but now I am thinking I have sinusitis. I saw an allergist and it shed no light on my situation. I am seeing an ENT soon. I hope I can get an answer about why my sinuses are so clogged up. Especially late at night, if I wake in the night and in the morning, I can't breathe at all. It makes it difficult to sleep.
