Does anybody know the lab codes for anemia?

I got my lab results from a doctor's visit. I asked her to check me for anemia. I looked anemia up through google. Went to website they listed but don't see the letters they mentioned.

Can anybody out there help me with this?

Code could be something in the 281 - 285 range, depending on the cause of the anemia.

If the doctor was checking for anemia, the two labs mostly likely run would be Hmg and Hct. These stand for hemoglobin and hematocrit. The normal range for each of these varies slightly from facility to facility, however, on average, hemoglobin would be considered normal above 12. If it was 7 or lower a transfusion would ususually be warranted. The hematocrit is a little more difficult to interpret because it is read by taking a formula of the hemoglobin and hematocrit. had a visit from a nurse practitioner who was very nice. It is part of my insurance plan and I am entitled to it every year. I did not find it because the test was never done.
