I have had reactions to many bandaids and adhesive tapes and have tried many different kinds. I don't know exactly what ingredient causes the red welts that appear within minutes, but I think it is the adhesive itself and maybe also latex in the bandage. So I always look for the simplest (no added ingredients) latex-free bandaid and often make my own with a nylon hypoallergenic tape. It was trial and error and I eventually found items I don;t react to. Of course, avoiding adhesives all together is the best way, i.e. using an ace wrap or stockinette to hold a piece of gauze on the injury. I know what works for me may not work for you, but the bandaid I use without reacting is CareOne sheer bandages, latex free, by J&J. Good luck
