burning sensation around the mouth

Hello, I been feeling this burning sensation around my mouth that come and goes, i was taking motrin and something aleve for muscle pain in my neak and back and Ive notice that I get congested and start feeli.g this burning sensation. I dont know if is a allergy to the med,or something else I do know that for this time of the year I always get allergys but never a burning sensation around my mouth, I try goggleing it and all they have is burning mouth syndrom, I know is not that because is not in my mouth is around my mouth and the picture they show is not what i have. So the question is has anybody experience this before please help the doctor said it could be stress that dont sound right to me.

I've been having a similar issue off and on for the last few months. My lips seem to chap and there's a burning sensation around my mouth usually under my bottom lip and no matter how much chap stick or lip balm I use it seems like it has to run it's course before it goes away, sometimes using anything makes it burn more. Even though it feels like there should be a rash or something there the area below my lip looks normal although my lips can become red and I develop a pale whitish film on my bottom lip where it meets the normal skin of my face. My doctor has run several blood tests but everything comes back normal.

I believe you have to do a process of elimination with this symptom of burning lips or burning around the mouth. First, it could be a vitamin deficiency so try take a multi-vitamin and increase your intake of Kale or some other fresh green vegetable. Second, this could be a form of herpes to which is no cure for it and it will come and go. Third, try using a liquid fungal infection drops. Apply twice a day once at night before bed and make sure to put on heavy cream to keep your lips moisturize in the night air. Fourth, exfoliate the skin so the scaling does not spread. Purchase a separate toothbrush for this purpose and keep this area of your lips moisturized with a medicated lip balm like carmex. Fifth, some people are experiencing an allergy to their makeup, soaps, too much sun without protection. Sixth, an ice pack will soothe the burning but only for a short time. Keep trying to source it out and it would help to create a diary to see what works and what does not. And lastly, if none of these treatments work it's time to see a doctor because maybe this is a sign of something more severe going on and a more thorough examination is needed. Good Luck!
