Sinus infection and allergies.

Hello, I am having lots of sinus trouble - allergies and sinus completely clogged for about 3 weeks now. I took 2 courses of Antibiotics (Zithromax) and Medrol pack and it has not helped at all so I did some research and have been adding little bit of garlic water to my netti pot last few days and things are finally improving, very very slowly though. I have been blowing my nose very hard and have noticed that I blow out chunks of what look like very very thick mucus, flesh or meat - it is brown and kind of looks like chunk of mean, I am not sure how to describe it otherwise. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I am not sure what it is and if I should go back to the doctor or just wait it out and continue my garlic water treatment. Please let me know what you think. I am also having my nose running constantly. Thank you.

You might go to the Ears Nose Throat specialist and see what they say

The reason I think it might be fungal is because you mentioned that you started doing slightly better after using garlic. Garlic is a natural anti fungal. I would recommend you go see your doctor if it is indeed fungal. Most times, just one pill might take care of it for you (Diflucan).

Hi' I've been having sinus problems. I don't have a lot of mucus, but I have numbness across the bridge of my nose and I get a sinus headache. I've had 2 rounds of antibiotics and that didn't work. Where can I find the garlic water or do I make it myself. I have a netti pot. I also tend to get dizzy if I turn my head to fast. May need to see and ENT doctor. Hope you get better. :0) Dee
