Delayed Reaction to Allergy shots

I don't think it is common, but it can happen.

My Brother had this happen to him when he got an allergy shot. He was ok for a few hours after the shot, but then started having trouble breathing... He wound up in the ER being treated for Anaphylaxis...

Your doctor may need to re-formulate your shot mix to a lower concentration. Be sure you keep in contact with your doctor about what you are experiencing.

Oh, yes. Happened to me too. I got a big red itching welt the next day. I had to have my doses diluted twice. Then I had to build up very slowly. A couple of times I had to back off the dose - seemed like I was building up too fast for me.

However, now I have absolutely no allergy symptoms even though my dose is fairly low. I am supposed to get my shots (2) weekly, but they seem to work just fine even if it's a month in between, when I've been hospitalized, although I wasn't running around in the moldy grass then.

Try for a year. If you just can't make it on the shots, maybe the oral allergen sensitizing would work. They aren't as effective as the shots though, according to a study I read.

Doc diluted me like you guys said. Since then, I do have a delayed reaction of my underarms itching, but that's about it! Thankfully.
