cheek swelling

This is the third time in 2 years that I had my cheeks swell. The first time was after eating a pizza at pizza hut. The second time was after eating Mexican food. The third time was tonight, after eating at a Teriyaki place. I don't know what I am allergic to.

Pizza and Mexican, I can see a possible common ingredient, but Teriyaki, I'm not so sure. All three have "hot" ingredients, but different "hot" ingredients.

Rule out other possibilities. I once had an abscess tooth that came and went. If you are due for a dental check, make sure you tell your dentist.
Another possibility is that it was from something left by another customer. A fragrance, trace amounts of something you are allergic to. I know I break out in hives when I touch a contaminated surface. Fabric chairs can hold an allergen within the weave of the fabric. Even washable surfaces can be an issue until they are washed.
I love that stores have handy-wipes at the door so I can "disinfect" surfaces. Others use them for virus germs, I use them for allergens.

I hope you find the cause.

What I am getting at is Mexican, Pizza, and Teriyaki don't usually have common denominators in their recipes.

I know years ago, I thought I was allergic to something and began avoiding it. Finally I discovered that I was reacting, just like I had eaten something myself, because my husband was eating what I was allergic to. He stopped and I was fine after that. At the time I was only reacting once every few months.
