Singulair or Quvar/proair

Hi All,
My daughter has colitis and recently has been having asthma type consistent cough symptoms We went to her allergist and pulmonologist for her persistent cough. Both have suspected asthma.
Allergist wants us to take singulair and pulmonolgist want her to be on proair and quvar. Between the two medicines which one has least side effects and is safer.
I heard singulair has some neuropyschotic side effects. Any comments?

I've have asthma real bad and for the past 9 years I've suffered, the doctor put me on all the meds and nothing worked all I got was a sore throat and a bad belly. It felt like I had something stuck iny throat,Well I figured out what it is and I hope it helps someone out there so they can stop suffering too. I'm on quvar and for the past few weeks it got real bad and the problem was I wasn't using a spacer I would put the quvar directly in my mouth and it was that simple. I got a spacer that if you suck to hard it makes a noise to alert you. So put quvar into spacer shake put mouth on spacer and blow when your out of air squeeze quvar and breathe slow. The doctor never told me how to do it. It's been two days and not one wheeze. And I'm better. I hope this help anyone not being able to breathe sucks

I use all, Singular nightly, pro air as needed and Symbicort or Qvar 2 times a day 2 puffs each...and I have asthma.

I have only taken Qvar. If I could tolerate the stomach pain the medicine gave me, I'd probably still be on it, but a day or so after I took it, the inhaler gave me terrible heartburn. I had to stop taking it. I hope you find one that she can tolerate.
