We're leaving tonight for my first ever ski trip! I'm so excited but a little nervous as I'm just getting over influenza A and worried my asthma might act up. I planned on keeping my inhaler with me but the weather predicts it will get down to one degree outside this Saturday. According to my pharmacist, my albuterol will freeze at that temperature. I'm nervous not having it on me though. Has anyone been in temperatures that cold with an aerosol inhaler and it was ok?
Thanks!

The pharm is right, medications are stored at a certain temperature, and can lose effect if the ambient temp is changed. jYou might want to use it before going skiing, as a preventive mesasure.

Thanks for the advice guys. Thankfully my asthma did not flare up. I bought an extra inhaler before we left to keep at our cabin. And wrapped another one up in a ski sock and pocketed it in my base layer jacket. It got even colder than expected, high of -1 F. but had an awesome time and so glad I went.
