sinusitis for 6 weeks, dizzy all the time, HELP

Been having sinus inflammation, and cogestion been on to different antibiotic
z pack , and now on argumentin 875. Its been 6 week and no relieve, using flonase
saline raises, alegra d, chage to caritin d, when to allergist and was told just not to
use the allerga d or the claratin d, just the flonase and the argumentin 875. But im
on the 7th day and still feel the same, get relief for the saline raise and the flonase
but only temporary, so I use the flonase one in each nostril, and save the second dose for bed time with a I use tbe c saline spray first then wait 15 minute and use
the flonase, but I've been doing this for 6 weeks and still dont feel better, systems
light headed, weak, stuffy nose, had pain in the back of my lower right ear by jaw but is gone now, saw EMT and and the said sinus infection,
examine me with a scope camera and took picture of my nasal carvery. Have and appointment to see both doctor on Thursday, today I had to use my asthma emergency inhaler cause I felt like I was having difficulty breathing. From inflammation. Don't know what to do have none of the system that a person with sinusitis would have no fever, no pain in the forehead or the cheeks or the headache pressure.
Just weak. Nasal inflammation, and slightly congested, and slight presure
that relieve itself when I rasie with the saline. I'm just worried cause I haven't been able to get better with two courses of antibiotics. Has anyone experience this before, and if they did how the they resolve this problem that making me feel unable to function, please help.

I'm just clearing up my latest sinus infection. This time I've had really bad dizziness also. I have chronic infections, worse after sinus surgery.

I've taken 3 ANTIBIOTICS over a month. Doxycycline worked this time, but I could only take it for a few days before getting severe stomach problems. If you take that, eat a significant meal with it. One ENT told me nothing but sulfa drugs will get to the sinuses because there is such poor blood flow there. I haven't tried Suprax - thanks for the suggestion, SDan.

I use a saline SINUS WASH (with baking soda, of course) at least twice a day when an infection is bad. I like my Neil Med because it holds enough to do the job, and it's cheap and works with just a squeeze. I sterilize by running it through the dishwasher or rinsing with straight bleach.
NEVER USE TAP WATER!!! There have been reports of brain-eating ameba in tap water as far north as Wisconsin. (From my reading as a water treatment plant operator.) I only use distilled water.

I have a bunch of nasal sprays and INHALERS, samples from my allergist. Alvesco, Asmanex, and Atrovent helped with breathing (when the bug got into my lungs). Flonase and a couple of others did nothing.

DIZZINESS is a big problem with sinus infections. This time I've got it bad! OTC meclizine (Bonine, Antivert) works pretty well. It's also available as prescription. I'm taking the lower dose, 12.5 mg twice a day, which helps, but am going to ask about the 25 mg dose.

Me on z pack again for 5 days Thursday will finish, felt a little relief for a while, after raiseing with the neli saline solution, got the bottle squeeze one
I read that you could clean it with tap water and 2 drop of soap and the finish
The last raise with distilled water and then shack the exsist water and put in the microwave for 120 second, and this would sterilize the nozzel and bottle.
Hope I'm doing it correct, god know I don't want to contamamiated myself

What to how much baking soda do I put in the neli bottle. And which antibiotics are consider supra. Oh they also gave a nasal spray call azlastine
Which with the nasonex and the 0.5 mg at of klonopin for anxiety make me
Wake up feeling really angry, this was so strange I don't think this three med could be taking together, I check and no interaction but a bit more sleep because of the klonopin. So stop after 2 days. It did really open my nasal passages but it was just temporarily like everything else, i going to talk to the doctor the about trying the supra antibiotic to see what he said. Pray I get better soon tried of being dizzy all the time.

Well when to the ENT AND WAS SEND TO GET A CT SCAN OF MY SINUSES, AND SAID SHE WAS NOT GIVING ME ANYMORE ANTIBIOTICS, CAUSE I HAD BEEN ON THREE IN 7 WEEKS
BUT STILL FELT VERY DIZZY AND DECIDE TO SEE MY PULMUNARY DOCTOR, TO SEE IN THE SINUS INFECTION HAD SPREAD TO MY LUNG, HE SAID THAT THE TEST SHOW SEVERE
INFLAMMATION IN MY BRONCOS SO PRICRIBE 20 MG OF PREDNISONE FOR 5 DAY AND STOP. HE SAID HE WOULDN'T
PRESCRIBE ANTIBIOTICS EITHER, BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT I HAVE BEEN ON A 3 COURSE ALREADY. AND MY PHELM
WAS CLEAR AND SOME WHITE, HE SAID MY DIZZINESS WAS FROM INFLAMMATION IN BRONCO PASSAGES AND NASAL.
HE TOLD TO USE MY PROVENTOL INHALER AND THE NASONEX AND THAT WOULD REDUCE THE INFLAMMATION AND HELP THE NASAL CAVERTIES DRAIN. ON MY 2 DOSE AND NOTHING SLIGHT HEADACHE AND EAR PAIN WITH DIDNT HAVE STILL HAVE THE PERSURE IN MY HEAD. I PRAY THAT TAKING THESE STERIODS WONT WEAKEN MY IMMUNE SYSTEM AND MAKE WORST CAUSE FOR BRONCITIS THERE USALLY ANTIBIOTICS PROTOCOL. TALK TO HIM TELL I WAS BLUE IN REFERENCE TO THIS AND HE KEEP INSITINGS THAT IT WOULD BE O.K. I ALSO EXPLAIN about MY FEAR OF TAKING THIS PREDNISONE WITH OUT WEENING ME, AND AGAIN HE SAID THAT 5 DAYS OF PREDNISONE IS TO SHORT OF COURSE TO CAUSE SIDE AFFECT OR WITHDRAWS. GET ME GAS PAIN CAUSE THEY SAID THAT WHILE IS FIGHTING THE BAD BACTRIA MIGHT FEEL A LITTLE FUNNY. WHAT DO YOU THINK IS IT O, K, TO TAKE 20 MG OF PERDNISONE WITHOUT WEENING, scare of all the side affect they say might happen it you stop without weening. Or just taking this med

Thanks I'm decide after 3 day of 20mg prednisone, today started to taper to15mg then 10mg then 5mg feel alot more comfortable doing it way. I suffer from anxiety and I know if I start to feel any gearys, its going to make my anxiety worst
My only side affect was my face a little flush and only sleeping 4 to 5 hour a day. How long did it take you to feel better, where you dizzy too.

the pred gives me anxiety too. as for felling better it was right after the pred course was done-i felt much better. i dont blame you for not going 5 full days at 20 meg-its tough to handle. 3 full days should be enough to be enough time to see improvement anyway

just found out about anti-spasm drugs for coughs. i can no longer handle codeine based medicine, no antibiotics either. am allergic to meds. did anybody check for vertigo?

This is not meant to be a prescription or substitute for advice from a doctor: Sinus infections can cause dizziness and vertigo. I have taken OTC Bonine/ Antivert (meclizine). It doesn't last very long for me, but it relieves the worst of the dizziness. You should ask your doctor if this would be helpful for you.

I would also suggest comtacting a GI doctor I have this same problem and even high doses of levaquin did nothing but cause lasting side effects that have left me debilitated. For me it is finally realized that I have severe continual gerd and lpr lpr means the acid is going into my sinus and results in inflammation and malxilary thinking pressure in head jaw ears and sinus sinus head aches and horrible post nasal drip. The LPR is usually silent reflex so you just get the sinus problems. How is your breathing and lungs? Come to find out my severe lpr that was brushed off as anxiety for years has left lasting luung damage resulting in worse asthma and needing oxygen at times as well as been screened for Barrera and throat cancer. It's called aspiration and it's happens now even when I eat because of the damage to my throat. I'm inhaling food water and acid. It all started with the symptoms you describe. The other option I can think of is some times with flonase and simpler steroids you can develop a yeast sinus infection that antibiotics will just make worse. I would question your ENT about LPR silent reflux and yeast if he's not willing to explore those options get a second or even third oppion I had to go threw several doctors before we figured it out I'm finally being sent to a speciality GI center and will be having a bunch of tests and surgery on esophigus throat and nose. Be safe and don't give up!
