Hello to all the sulphur allergy suffers out there!!!
I am now 47 and having suffered with eczema my whole life, which only started getting worse in my early 30's...that is when the real sulphur allergy kicked in.
Firstly I would like to say that if you think you have an allergy of some sorts GOOGLE is your best friend!!! And if you want some really good advise STAY AWAY FROM DOCTORS AND ESPECIALLY SKIN SPECIALISTS....THEY WILL SEND YOU ON A DOWNWARD SPIRAL!!!!!
Also don't believe anyone that says there is no relation to between sulphur and sulphite OR between medicinal sulphurs and the sulphurs/sulphites in foods/cosmetics....if any word contains "SUL" in it then you can be rest assured there is some form of either in it....
It has got to be one of the worst allergies out there and everyone reacts differently, my own allergy has also changed over the years it used to be on my face now it is on the palms of my hands.
Just a quick break down of "SUL" containing cosmetic and foods/beverages;
Cosmetics: avoid all;
Shampoos, bodywashes, liquid hand soaps, face washes and scrubs....ALLLLLL contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate
(some shampoos don't but it will say so on the bottle)
Foods:
Well I think there is will be easier to give the list of what doesn't as almost all foods do but just in different levels, so depending on how allergic you are, also depends on your tolerance, but what helped me a lot was to Google, "Sulphur content in foods", there it gives you a good idea of what to avoid and what levels all the different foods contain but the real POWERFUL SULPHUR BOMBS are
Onions
Garlic
Seafish
Fish
Vinigar
Soya
I AVOID THESE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!
Anyone wanting more advise or help I am willing to share my years of researching and knowledge if it can help someone and give them relief...
kind regards
