Roughly a month ago I was diagnosed with a terrible dust mite allergy. I went to buy an allergenic mattress cover and allergenic pillow cover. I washed my blankets and hung them in the sun, and I changed my bed sheets. I vacuumed my room with a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA system installed, and I close my windows at night.
I thought I removed most of if not all of the source of the allergies, but at night when I try to sleep, my nose becomes completely clogged up, and I have to rely on my mouth to breath. This puts too much pressure on my throat, and I become dehydrated very quickly. I have to wake up 3 times a night to take a drink of water so I can go back to sleep. Right now I'm sick of it, and really need help, because I don't know what I'm still being triggered.
I even tried taking nasal sprays and antihistamine tablets, but they don't work that much, and doesn't my sinuses when I try to sleep. I still end up waking up. Someone please tell me what I can do. This is terrible. What am I missing? It's bad enough that I can't use my nose anymore, but at least I'd like to have a good sleep!
