Sometimes I get sudden scratches or long welts that look like scratches on my neck, is this from an allergy?

I have something similar. I spoke to my dermatologist and he said it was an allergic reaction. It doesn't have to be that you touched something to which you are allergic. It is like you are allergic to touch.

Could be a sign of more serious illness also. Bartonella infection can cause long, streak-like rashes. Also, touch-triggered rashes can be a symptom of some autoimmune conditions.
