I, too, am allergic to bermuda grass. I've killed off my lawn and re-seaded several times with no luck...it just keeps coming back. I do a lot of flower gardening and I'm on my knees a lot. My legs and even my arms will get covered in hives/rash from it. When I mow, it causes me to sneeze.
I usually use my Zyrtec-D and Flonase inhaler before going outside to work and of course, I always keep my epi-pen close at hand. Benedryl and anti-itch cream will work for me if I'm foolish and let the grass touch my skin. I've also recently started taking the desensitisation shots again (took them as a pre-teen). I'm hoping for better results from the shots within the next year or so. Hope this helps!
