Hi... I am going to start taking regular claritin (not Claritin D because it makes my heart rate speed up), is it safe, does it work? Zyrtec made me too drowsy.
Thanks,
Amy

Hi Amy. :) Yes it's safe as long as you don't abuse the directions as to when to take them. It worked for me in the beginning but I guess my body became accustomed to it over time and then I had to switch to Allegra. Are you over 18 and in the states? If so you won't have a problem getting them but if you're under 18, you may have to have a parent or guardian buy them for you.

You can also do a google search on medications. or you could ask the pharmacist at any drug store or maybe your pcp. Good luck with whatever you try.
