For a Small Subset of People - Asthma Can Be Cured

I had asthma for 33 years when I discovered research about four years ago that stated there are different causes of asthma, and one cause is bacteria. Asthma can be caused by mycoplasma and chlamydia pneumoniae - both airborne bacteria you can get when you catch a viral infection like a cold, flu, bronchitis or pneumonia.

I went to a doctor who had been studying this for over fifteen years and he treated me with antibiotics - three days in a row, followed by a dose taken once a week for a total of twelve weeks. My asthma has been gone ever since, and since that time, my son's exercise induced asthma has been cured this way, and I know several people who have had their asthma treated this way. Some doctors are treating their patients, but others don't seem to know about this until their patients mention it and they look at the research.

Not everyone's asthma is caused by bacteria - it's a small subset of maybe 30 - 50%, but it's worth looking into. Bacteria can also cause asthma to get worse, so some people have been treated and find great improvement. Also, I was on antibiotics all the time - I got sick a LOT, but it wasn't enough to knock out the bacteria that was causing the asthma. You have to be on it once a week for twelve weeks at the right dose, using the right antibiotic.

The studies are legitimate studies run by doctors and the links are to peer reviewed medical journals.

It won't work for everyone, like I said, but it will probably be the case for some of you.

Oh dear. I did read the rules and did NOT post "my website address". I posted a link to a yahoo group with information about asthma caused by bacteria.

If anyone would like to know more about this, please go to yahoo dot com, then click on Groups and do a search for Infectious asthma.

I hope this post is allowed to stand, since it's not spam. I don't quite trust sites that are so overmoderated that any information outside of their realm is deleted and I'm hoping this isn't one of those.

I disagree with the last post TREMENDOUSLY. Western medicene does not want to cure asthma because then, what do you need it for? Fortunately, your body wants to cure it. I don't know all of the answers, but I doubt that taking 18 different drugs and using three inhalers encourages the body to heal. econ

Asthma cannot be cured, but it can be controlled. Someone may go without symptoms for many years, just to find the symptoms coming back years later

As for the medications, I think it's a bit important to have those medications so your airways don't CLOSE!!

 

I am so totally surprised at the responses you guys gave, i have seen you guys make some very intelligent responses 100% of the time, but there are new treatments everyday, and weather or not its 10 pills or not, as ive heard many times, there is a cure for everything, we just havent found it yet, so for her to post that information is very interesting to me, and i thank her very much for shareing it.

im sorry, but i think we should be able to write new treatment info without getting told off basically.  And the comment about her being nieve and pathetic? that was wayy harsh in my opinion, this is a place for support, not unnecissary criticism, and althoe i absolutley respect peoples opinions, and appreciate reading them you dont have to be so rude about it younge lady. I would hope in the future if anyone elce asks a similar question or shares a similar situation, the your not be so cut and dry.  I truly believe this should be a place, for love, help, care and understanding, and i believe that the original poster meant to do nothing but that, to share an experience. I am truly surpised at the responses.

Astham cant be cured???

When my cousin was 6 years old, she had very sever asthma, and then her doctor gave her a flu shot and it was literally goan, shes in her late 20's now, and she is 100% asthma free from the day she got that shot, so it is possible, i hate to think you guys have give up hope,

some things arent 'cureable' 100%, but they can go away 100% with certain treatmetns , for certain people ,for unknown reasons.
