Acupuncture For Allergieis. Anyone had success?

Has anyone tried Acupuncture For Allergy relief? If so, please your results.

I go for my third appointment on Wednesday. My understanding is that for accute conditions, benefits are experience after the 1st visit and for chronic conditions (sinusitis) it may many visits to notice the true benefits.

PS: After my first visit, I was able to blow my nose for the first time in over a year. I blew for days and finally a yellowish tint finally came out and I coughed some up.

Hi AaronDawg, I'm actually from the UC forum, but Sherry asked me to share my experience with acupuncture and allergies. Seems that I had constant sinusitis, and was on the stongest drugs possible. Everyone thought either I smoked or had a cold because I was constantly stuffed up or coughing. I was on the strongest prescription meds the doc could give me, and I was miserable. One of my coworkers told me about her great acupuncurist, and because I was feeling so poorly and I'd do anything to feel better...I made an appt in the middle of the day, and left work. Everyone was curious to see if it really worked! It was painless, and on the way back to work, I could actually feel my sinuses starting to clear. Thinking it couldn't actually be working that well, I got back to work, and my coworkers couldnt believe it....my voice had actually changed, I didn't sound all stuffed up. It did take another two times of seeing him because my condition was so severe, but now I go just once a year when I feel it coming on (around November/December) and I'm good for the rest of the year. Seriously! The allergies used to be a year round thing; now I even make it through spring. Sorry this is so long, I just wanted you to hear a positive story!
