Hey everyone!!! Ok my question about sinus infection is can you have a sinus infection but have clear mucus? Mine has been yellow in the past?? I have really bad allergies and stuff too so when I push on my sinuses around my nose it hurts, not sure if its allergy or sinus related???

I've never personally had a sinus infection with clear mucous. I think that if it's clear then it might just be allergies or sinusitis and yes you will still feel pressure in your sinuses with allergies. Mine gets horrible sometimes and I use a warm compress or steam to help alleviate the pressure.

 I would have to say that it sounds like a sinus infection. Usually, sinus infections come along with yellow, gray, mucous, facial pain, headache, toothache, pressure in nose, ears, 1 reason's I know this is cause I have been suffering with Chronic Sinusitis for 14 yrs. I am not a medical doctor, so some of it could be allergy related. It doesn't sound like it to me from what your describing. From what I have read sinusitis does not have clear mucous. I have allot of facial pain and pressure and yet have clear mucous.. I was told it was from the swelling from allergies. The swelling will give same symptoms as an infection.

there are 2 types of sinusitis... infectious and non infectious... non infectious is related to allergies, and those can give off a clear discharge.

Always best to talk with your doctor about it.

:-) I would check with a doctor about having a prescription nasal spray. Such as Nasonex or Flonase, Astelin. I am using Nasonex that helps good with my nasal congestion and runny nose. Brandi.
