Hi, I am new to this site and I was actually using it for another condition when I thought I would look at allergies since my 4 year old had severe eczema and allergies. I so want to share with you what I have learned! At 4 mths my child had a severe rash on his chin and after some testing we realized he was allergic to several foods. Some included eggs, wheat, beans, soy, peanuts and the list could go on. By the time he was 1 he had been to at least 5 different dermatologists and no one could help him. We had tried every cream you can name. By this point his face had
open sores, puss and would bleed. The doctors were concerned by this point and had told us they hadn't seen a child with eczema like this before. He even developed staph in his chin due to the seriousness of the infection. After being sent to The University of Washinton Hopsital with still no sucess we were recommended to go the The National Jewish Hospital in Denver. Since we live in Washington that was a huge step but we had to. We had no other options left and my 1 year old looked like a burn victim on the bottom part of his face. We were very doubtful that they would have the answers but let me tell you, they did!!! And it was different from probably everything all of the derm tell you and it is the easiest treatment out there. We were amazed that in 10 days his skin was almost clear and shocked that we had to go to Denver to learn about
this. It is called "wet wraps". You have your child take anywhere from 2 to 3 baths a Day for 20 minutes a time-no soap, just getting the skin wet. Medium tem of water. After 20 minutes dry her lightly and you have 2 minutes to apply any creams you might use to help her skin(protopic, hydocort, ect.) Apply it liberally. Then take a pair of tight pjs and get them wet and ring them out. Put them on her over her lotioned skin. They are going to feel wet and cold at first so she might not like it. Then put a pair of dry over that and cuddle her with blankets. Have her remain wrapped for 2 hrs. We stayed at the hospital for 10 days, did this treatment and only this treatment for 3 times a day for the 10 days and walked out with clear skin. It was a miracle and a blessing that such an easy cure is right there. Please, I ask you to give this a try for at least 5 days. You will see unbelievable results. If you need more questions on this please ask. I had prayed and prayed for answers and this hospital really had it for us and now I can pass it on! I will be praying that this works for you and hopefully others who might see this.
