Hi Dragonfly137927,
I'm sure once this allergy skin test is done and I get the results I will have to change the way I eat. Looking closer to labes etc. Gona be a pian in the butt too!
I'm sos use to eating whatever I want and now this is going to have to change, and maybe it's for the best because I'm such a junk food junkie something terrible.
I'm scared to have this allergy skin test done because I'm so sensitive to medications it's not funny!
I know this test dones't invole medications but they do use stuff that is put under the skin to see if you have an allergic reaction to it...and hope this test doesnn;t make me sick.
Ever had the skin allergy test?
Thanks,
Atk

Besides lactaid (which is more for lactose intolerance) they do make rice milk. Also there is a frozen treat called tofutti. Tofutti I know is an ice cream like dessert for lactose intolerance you would have to read the label before purchasing it though. Goat cheeses as well as fresh mozzerella (make sure it is water buffalo mozerella) might be an option as well. My troubles are tree nuts, and oral allergy syndrome to many fruits and veggies. my list is shorter as far as what I can have rather than what I can't.
Cool whip is also lactose free. There are also some sharp cheddar cheeses that are lactose free as well. I am lucky to not have dairy problems especially because i have Crohn's Disease, but for a while I had to avoid dairy until I was able to get my lactose test done.
Good luck, just remember to read labels even if you have had the product before. My godfather's wife has severe allergies to the point where she has to boil bottled water. She mentioned buying a product she could eat, after eating it this time she had severe issues. Come to find out the company changed the ingredients but there was no change in the packaging (except the ingredients list) to ;et consumers know about it.
