My son has a severe allergy to eggs. If he eats anything with egg in it, his skin gets covered from head to toe with eczema. If he comes in contact with egg he will itch his face, breakout in hives, and his eyelids swell up. Pediatrician does not seem to concerned, just tells me keep eggs out of his diet. I have him on strict diet but, over x-mas he was given cookies with egg in them. His skin brokeout and he ended up with the croup. His reactions get worse each time he is exposed and that scares me. My family has realized how bad is allergy is,thank god! What do I do when he starts pre-school? My baby had to get the croup before my family took his allergy serious. How do I trust anyone else? I have seen post were people mention epi-pen, do you have to see allergist to get prescription? Ped. has never mentioned that before.
