Im allergic to herbarium? What the hey is that?

I stopped at my dr. office to get my allergy test results. the docs were gone, so I had no one to explain the results. After wrestling the labs out of the nurses hands (just kidding) it said I was allergic to herbarium. Neither she nor I have any idea what that is and I cant find anything on google. I have swollen eyes and headaches.

Im sure I'll find out in a day or two, but in the meantime, anyone hear of it?

I would like to welcome you to HealingWell. I have to say I have never heard of that. Hopefully, your doctor will call you soon to tell you. Is that all you tested positive to?

We have a member, Razzle who may come along any time and might know something about that, but I have to admit I do not.

Please let us know when you find out and please keep posting and checking in. But, seriously, Razzle may know the answer.

Herbarium is a collection of plants. So I don't think it is one specific plant. What the nurse may be trying to say is that you are allergic to certain plants that they tested you for, such as grass and/or trees and/or weeds and/or fungi (mold)...but it is best if you try to ask the doctor and I would also ask for a copy of the test results yourself, so you can see what all you were tested for.
