I have been having a lot of chest tightness and shortness of breath. I went and saw my Doctor last week and he put me on Flovent. I know that it takes a couple of weeks for it to take affect. The other day at work I was really short of breath and my chest was tight and I also felt light headed. I finally was able to get to my rescue inhaler and use it and it helped for the most part. Im still learning about what all goes on with asthma so is it common to feel light headed like u almost are gonna pass out? And today same thing happened but I didnt get light headed I just had a really hard time catching my breath and sometimes when I would go to speak it would like take me a sec to get a breath to get the words out. I did use my rescue inhaler and it helped some again but now Im home and my chest just hurts. It almost feels sore from having someone sit on me all day. Anyone have similar problems and should the flovent help with this some once it kicks in? I do have another appt with my doctor but its not till August.
