itch deep in ear/throat

Does anyone here ever get an itch deep in their ear canal that is almost reachable with the tongue but not quite? Ive been having this on and off for years and I don't know what it means or what causes it. Any ideas?

Yes. I have had this for years as well. The deep ear itching is improved for me with nasally inhaled Pulmicort (the Asthma nebulizer solution)...the usual nasal steroid sprays are not strong enough to control my symptoms. Probably would be good to consult an allergist about this, or an ear-nose-throat doctor. Good luck,

Yes and it drove me nuts! Since being on allergy meds consistantly I don't have that issue anymore.

I get it every year the ragweed is in bloom.

I was having it today. My sinuses were awful this morning but they seem a bit better now. I need to see an allergist for sure!
