Hi,
I work in a call center over the phone doing sales. in my job title I need to be alert, enthusiastic, and ready to rebudle and overcome any objection to what I'm selling.
every year when it starts getting cold here in los Angeles, I get very sick. chronic caughing, and any slight breaze or just a wiff of cold air will cause me to caugh non stop.
so it's not ideal when in this condition I have to go to work in an air conditioned building with it turned up to max cold, so I had no choice but to get a Dr. note so l can have a heater at my desk.
but basicly my day today was just sad sad sad, 1st I brought a huge bag filled w all my artillery, caugh drops, theraflue, inhailer, etc... I had a huge thermouse so I can drink tea to keep my througt warm to help loosen up the mucus, btw musinex never works for me. and in the midst of all my lil devices and short term remidies to get through the day, I'm still caughing all day long and trying to spit out any mucus that comes up. I caughed so much I felt like I was I was in the olden days doing Morris code, and my reason for saying that is because I was constantly hitting the mute button on my headset so my customers don't here me. I'm hoping my recent request for FMLA goes through so I can call out, and b protected.
my main goal is to try and expell as much mucous as I can, without hurting my throught anymore, my dr. tells me that the little hairs that ppl have in their bronchial tubes called cilia, in missing for me due to the fact that when I was a kid 20 yrs ago I was five, for many years my dad would second hand smoke around me and my grandmother would have all nighter poker games at the house I was raised I. with smoke lingering through the house with no exhaust or even an open window. so for all those years since I was a baby my cilia got distroid before they even had a chance to fully develop.
does any one have any suggestions? I'm on thin ice with my job and just very depressed with living a life locked up in my house with the heater and vaporizor on blast and spending tons of cash on lausenges and what not. this is not your typical asthma case, so please give me any useful suggestions.
thanks-
