Eczema is making me nuttier than before!

Seriously, I can not handle these itchies.   This is THE PITS.  It is wide spread and I do not like it.  My appointment with the dermatologist is not until towards the end of March. 

I know this may sound silly but HOW MUCH STUFF DO I HAVE TO DEAL WITH????

It would be a first time visit. My itchies came from an allergy to a drug given to me when I was hospitalized for a complete knee replacement. I don't know what to say.

The dermatologist who is from the group I saw the last time, never even spoke to me. The receptionist said he would see me because my previous doctor had left. I saw him in the hallway. He has no doctors left in the practice and has hired either a rn or a nurse practioner to handle stuff.

So I am going on the information from New York City when I saw the head of the dermatologic department at my Insurance Company.

Many doctors have left this area. My prime care doctor's called for me to get an appointment.

Both the hospital and my doctor's office gave me the generic of the Vistril. Had to miss my prime care doc's office visit because of the snow. After knee surgery, it is not good to slip or fall. did put vitamin E which I found at the drug store and put it on one of the areas of my skin that is very irksome. It was in liquid form which was very easy to handle.

Forget urgent care around here. Am in upstate in New York now near Albany. When I went there with my knee awhile back I had to wait for hours and the doc told me to put ice on it. No x-ray, no nothing. It was advertised to have mri, scans, etc. but all that closes down around 11 am oclock and the place opens at 10 am oclock. Of course I am exaggerating but not by much.

You would never know, we are paying them!  I did find a pretty good trick which is putting vitamin E on the worst itchy spot.  Vitamin E is now sold in liquid form and it is available at drug stores.  My husband's cousin happened to mention it because she used it for a rash she had on her face.  So I figured what do I have to lose.

my feet have "gone bananas" the dermi told me to try sarna which is an otc medication and come back in a month. everything was ok except i do not know if my check went to digital heaven (the shredder) or what. got some kind of receipt but lost it.

AM VERY TIRED

Not to belittle your fears, but don't worry too much, my father has had many of the skin cancers removed. He was a carpenter and spent his early years on a family farm.

He rubs a special cream to get the surface ones off every few days. Then gets some cut off and/or some burned off.

He's had the skin removed off his nose and replaced with skin from his cheek.

He uses sunscreen and covers up when he's outside. He wishes he had done it years ago.

Best of luck on your surgery. The bright side is at least it's surface and doesn't have roots.

My asthma's okay. Had a small attack last night at 2am. It's rough to have an asthma attack with a CPAP pumping 14lbs of pressuried air in your lungs. My inhaler took care of it quick though.

I have been doing research and found that the kind I have is not so bad (squamous) and the fact that it is in situ makes it better. I'm just beat fighting the darn old sinus infection plus rehab-ing along with the new knee and all.

I have eczema as well as allergies and asthma; the triple threat they called it. I tried to use Sarna, but the smell was horrible and my itching was still outrageous. A different dermatologist than my original one suggested I try "Cutivate." It is a type of lotion and stopped my itching right away! I've had eczema since I was five and now I'm in my 20s and this is the first thing that has helped me! However, it is prescription only (unless it has changed in the past year). I also found that going to swimming pools  helps me because of the chlorine (weird, I know) and the sunshine always helps me too!

Edit: Link removed to site selling swimming pools. Perhaps this was just a fluke with the system. Thank you for your understanding.
