Allergic to a shot!

Today I took my niece to get her shots for college and she had an allergic reaction to one of the shots

She reacted to the mennigitis shot. Her arm turned brick red from the injection site all the way down to her elbow. It also became hot to the touch. Her face became flushed and hot to the touch. The nurse gave her 100mg of benadryl and an ice pack.

She's now conked out on the couch under our watchful eyes.

Has anyone of you ever had a reaction like that?

Yes, I have heard of that type of reaction but to a different shot, had a friend that would also turn beet red,
it was good that the nurse was able to give her benadryl..I hope your niece is feeling a whole lot better soon...
make sure this reaction gets noted in her medical records and make sure the Doctor was informed...
