This is ever happened to you?

For the past few mornings I've been waking up with a swollen red face. I see a fine red rash scattered across my face also. My body feels itchy, too.

I've not changed my soap, detergent, shampoo, or medications.

I'm afraid I've developed a new allergy

The allergy tests aren't reliable when it comes to being tested for foods. I had the RAST test to see if I am allergic to hazelnuts and strawberries, both in which I break out in a rash, but it came back negative. My daughter is allergic to shellfish and once again, she was tested and it came back negative. The allergist said that these tests aren't that accurate and you need to go by what your body is trying to tell you.

The food allergy testing is bloodwork - at least according to my daughter's allergist. Airborn allergens such as pollen, mold, mildew etc can be done with the skin.
