Anybody have their ear (eustachian tubes) get plugged up and filled with fluid? It's always my right ear with me and I haven' found anything to prevent it. The best I can do is a sinus rinse with a netti pot. I've been to one specialist but he said there's nothing that can be done. I'm thinking of trying another dr.

I thought that's what the tubes they put in kids ears were for?
Can you get those?

I'm going to jump in here a bit.  No, the eustachian tubes are part of the middle ear and they can become clogged and infected.  Kids especially are prone to ear infections there but the eustachian tubes are not what the doctors insert into the kids' ears for drainage.  We adults may have infections in them along with the sinuses and usually have decongestants to unblock them.  (It's spring and that's what I'm dealing with now....)

Oh, I thinking about the little drains they put in the ears to help keep the fluid from building up inside the middle ear chamber. I've always heard they were called "tubes". I'm sure there's another name for them. Several students in my class has had them or have them now.

Yes, my grand niece had them, too. I don't know what they're called other than 'tubes'. I don't think they had them when I was a kid.
