Do Allergy People catch more colds?

It seems I catch a lot of colds lately. Do people with allergies catch more colds and sinus infections than other people? If so, why is this?

What you think is a cold could be just allergy.
What do you take for your allergies? You may have to just bump up how often you take it. Be sure to check with your doctor before you do that.

Some people who suffer from frequent sinus infections are actually having acid reflux get into their sinuses. If you have any type of heartburn going on you might want to talk with the ENT and have them check you out.

I get allergy shots, take allegra and do a sinus rinse. But I've fallen behind on the shots through no fault of my own and now, in the middle of allergy season, need to build them back up.

I cannot tell the difference between a cold and allergies. It feels like I have constant colds. Tired, nose is running a LOT, some sneezing, sinus pressure.. it feels just like a cold, but I seriously can't tell.

I had a sinus infection that started about 8 days ago, and did antibiotics for 7 days which seemed to kick it. But now THIS. It is frustrating, as it feels like i am constantly sick.

Hi Mike: allergies are an auto-immune disease. Since your body is constantly fighting against an invisible enemy...whatever you are allergic to...you are run down.

My experience is that I feel like a magnet for viruses and other problems. Joy is correct...some sore throat is reflux. HOWEVER my throat has become so enlarged that it is difficult for me to keep my mouth closed...the panting which results causes drying and makes the problem worse.

With this disease, you have to become a HEALTH NUT. Rest, eat well and moderate exercise. AVOID POLLUTED AREAS AND HIGH POLLUTION DAYS to exercise in.
