I'll start from the beginning. about
2 and a half years ago I moved from Michigan to Arizona. I had been a perfectly healthy person my entire life and I'm only 24 now. Well after living there for a few months I got a very bad sinus infection, unbearable congestion choking me. I took antibiotics and antihistamine the doctor prescribed and I was pretty much back to normal but ever since then I have had post nasal drip (that occasionally contains gray debris in it) and horrible migraine headaches that come and go. I moved back to Michigan after 6 months and put up with these symptoms for months thinking they'd go away but when they didn't I decided to see my doctor. My doctor was no help so I was referred to an allergist. I went through the standard allergy testing, back testing then the needle testing on my arms. I only showed a slight reaction to mold and dust mites and the allergist told me I pretty much didn't have allergies and suggested I get a ctscan, he gave me a script
for steroids for my sinus pressure pain. So I had one done and went to see an ENT who was just baffled by me apparently, giving me steroid injections in my nose, so many nasal sprays. He looked at my ctscan saw I had a deviated septum and that's all he could see and suggested I go see someone else. Well I decided to go to a new primary doctor who put me on levaquin for 3 weeks thinking I just had some chronic sinusitus that would be cured from that antibiotic. That didn't work so she referred me to a new ENT who examined my ctscan, said I had a bad deviation and needed turbinate reduction too. He did say my drainage is just due to allergies and that it'd be impossible to figure out what I'm allergic to most likely. So I didn't care to wait cause no one was helping me and I was getting sick of it so I got the surgery done this past August and that went great, my nose is perfect and the surgeon said my sinus' were clear... I can breath through it when I sleep now but I have this horrible sinus pain behind my eyes and the back of my head all the time now and the drainage down my throat chokes me all day. It doesn't come and go, it's there ALL THE TIME. I feel like a lab experiment for doctors anymore, oh take this and this and then see if it does anything. I've tried every allergy medicine, nasal sprays, antibiotics, prednisone, nasal rinses. I'm not sure what I'm even here looking to ask, mostly just looking for advice I guess.
