2 months cough

i been coughing for 2 moths, i feel there is a ball of mucus behind my mouth. and the coghing gets worse during nights and mornings. i went to a doctor aand check for neumonia, but i dont have that. What else could it be?

It could be post nasal drip or even acid reflux. Have you tried using antihistamines or decongestants? Gargling with salt water? Sitting up at night in case it is acid reflux (do not confuse this with heart burn).
