Could I be allergic to my house????

 I don't really struggle with allergies other than a few spices, dyes in detergants and meds, but I really think there is something in my house I am allergic to. If I am away from my house I feel so much better. Especially if its a few days before I go home. But with in an hour of getting home i start feeling sick to my stomache, headaches, hot, irritable, itching and stuff. Its crazy.

I do have 3 dogs that are in the house alot, but I have had dogs all my life and never had any problems to speak of. we do live in the country with tons of trees, but I do okay when I'm outside for the most part.

Is this possible or am I having like psycosomatic symptoms or something, lol.

Have you ever been allergy tested to see if you are allergic to dogs? Many people are under the assumption that if they are exposed to things all their life with no issues that they can't develop an allergy to that thing. That is not true. Allergic reactions can happen at any given time regardless of past history.

If you are not allergic to dogs, than it can possibly be dust, dust mites, mold or mildew - these are the most common household allergens.

But if you haven't had any allergy testing, your best bet would be to start there.

I have had allergy testing and I did show some adverse effects to stuff like dust and mold, alot of skin irritants, dyes, but nothing to dogs. I do have a cat allergy.
we built this house about 8 years ago, and thats when things got worse, even my mental status. It may hold more dust, pollen, etc. But what do you do? I can't just up and move.
I use an air purifier, vacumm alot, dust, mop, change air filters, purify water, etc.
Its just hard knowing going to your home makes you feel worse.

It is absolutely possible. A little bit of a cynical way to put it but...
It is possible to develop (and also to overcome or outgrow) allergies over a lifetime. The three dogs could definitely be contributing so much dander and dried saliva protein to the home that it is overloading your system. I have recently been learning more about air purifiers as a way to deal with these types of allergies because I have them as well. Also, if your home is new, a lot of newer building materials offgas or leach chemicals and materials into the air. It is important to vacuum and dust regularly and open the windows to air out the home if possible. http://hepa-air-purifier.org is where I was reading about purifiers last week, you might find it helpful. I got rid of dust by turning off the electrostatic air cleaners and putting in the large box filters in the furnace. I am able to have the furnace fan run on low speed 24/7 year round. It cut my dust by a huge amount!

I also take the large hardwood floor dry mop and do my walls once a month. I have high ceilings, so I got a very long extension handle from the home improvement store for it.

Might not be the house. might be the cleaning agents you use in the house. If vinegar and lemon and baking soda do not set off problems, might try scrubbing down every surface in the house with vinegar & water, baking soda & water, or lemon juice. Also, if you have any air fresheners might want to get rid of them. I am violently allergic to just about every Glade product out there. Cause the same symptoms you describe.
