Is this a safe wean from prednisone?

I was prescribed prednisone for the first time in my life 7 days ago. This is the plan they have me on:

40mg for 3 days, then 30mg for 3 days, then 20mg for 3 days, then 10 mg for 3 days.

So far I've been have increased heart rate and anxiety.

Is this a safe way to wean off prednisone or is there possible severe withdrawal?

I'm a young adult female if that helps.

Should be fine if this is the only time you've ever been on steroids and your adrenals are in good shape.
