Hi everyone
I've been having some sort of "episode" every so often for the past 3-4 months. Sometimes it feels like it has gone into remission and I'll feel anywhere from just "ok" to "pretty good" only to be hit with it again. These episodes can last a few days or a few weeks with various degrees of intensity. I have a history of Allergic Rhinitis, Chronic Sinusitis, a deviated septum, GAD, OCD, Hypochindria, Tourettes Syndrome, GERD, IBS, Cervical Arthritis and Panic Disorder. My Tourettes causes me to jerk my head back and forth and side-to-side many times each day and as you can imagine, this is not good when you have cervical arthritis and a bone spur. I can sometimes hear a crack or pop when my Tourettes is really bad or when I turn my head to far the wrong way.
Anyway, these episodes always seem to start out with an on-again/off-again fatigued feeling that seems to originate in my head and lasts a few hours (even though I've had plenty of sleep) followed by mild to moderate waves of dizziness. Sometimes I feel like I'm about to go mad and jump right out of my head or I'll start to have a panic attack. Then, after awhile, I start sneezing and my nose starts dripping. Sometimes my left eye will water. My eyes also feel really bugged out and un-focused during these episodes and I get this intense "brain fog" (almost a burning feeling). A few times I've taken my temperature a few hours after all of this started up and it was anywhere from 98.0 to 99.4 (but I do have a 2-decade long history of having "low-grade fevers of unknown origin").
I've got shoeboxes full of all kinds of tests (almost all of them normal). I've seen many different specialists. The only meds I take are Ativan (05mg 2 x per day) and occassionally, I'll take Prevacid.
I really can't think of anything else I can add at the moment. Has anyone here had similar symptoms?. Sigh. I don't know what to do or where to run anymore. Thanks kindly for any input!.
