Hi!! Im new to this forum but have read a few posts on food intolerances. I just turned 37. about 2.5 years ago i begin sneezing constantly after eating, itchy throat, swollen stomach runny nose, nose sores and doctor visits. my doctor assumed it was perhaps outdoor allergies and i begin zyrtec and left for a 3day cruise. i returned swollen and miserable. this went on for a while. i switched to zyrtec d which brought some relief. Fast forward about 4 months and i begin to unintentionally drop weight begin having bouts of diarrhea and i'd something awful and begin urinating quite frequently. i myself did research and narrowed it down to wheat, soy and dairy. things improved a lot but i was still going day to day on zyrtec d. then i found a lump on my neck(swollen lymph node)went to doc and it was thankfully just infection from foods. i was sent to a gastrologist due to weight loss and other issues to b tested for celiac disease. No celiac but i had 2 gastric ulcers.
Fast forward about 8 months ago....i found out about the ALCAT test. This blood test was a life saver. They tested my blood for 300-400 different foods and chemicals. I am severely intolerant to chicken, pork, strawberries, cinnamon, vanilla, grapes, romaine lettuce, wheat and those are severe the list goes on. One of the main chemicals i am intolerant to is PESTICIDES...which is on everything. So i had to go organic. Doing this with my foods seemed to have eliminated a lot of the things i couldnt eat from my list.
Anyway minus 53lbs later. i feel better but still dealing with issues. Doc appt tomorrow blood results back and i have elevated bilirubin and elevated b12. deficient in vitamin d.
Are there any others out there as extreme as i am?? Its a mystery
