Sinusitis and FESS outcomes

Throughout my life I have suffered with sinus infections that last 6-8 weeks every time I get a head cold or bad nasal allergy episode. These are very painful and debilitating events that cause me to have to take large rounds of several powerful antibiotics, and these don't do much more than throw me into extended diarrhea for weeks afterward.

After enduring two 8-week sessions of this misery since January, 2005, I decided to take a drastic step and get my sinuses opened up so the infections would be less likely. I got a CT scan of my sinuses, went to an ENT surgeon, and had the FESS (functional endoscopic sinus surgery) procedure performed last Wednesday, 6-8-05. Now I'm at home recovering, and bleeding like a stuck pig. I feel like I've done the right thing, but I sure would like some feedback from others who have taken this route.

Oooh, I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through that type of surgery, I'm sure you're not too comfortable right

now!!

While you already know about that type of surgery there are many that do not, so I've included a link to a site that does discuss this surgery~by the way, I learned while reading this info, that the surgery has been done since the 1950's~that's always great to know it's been around for a while!

I hope if anyone's had this done, that they'll come on by and share their experience!?

In the meantime, Bob, I sure hope you recover quickly and notice a big improvement afterwards~much good luck to you!!
