Has z-pack (zithromycin) ever  caused a stroke ?
I just had a bad experience after taking first dose of a Z-Pack. First I had severe nausea and vomiting, then at same time I started having numbness and tingling in left arm, this moved up to my armpit and then to my neck and left side of face felt weird...??? In between periods of vomiting and right after weird feeling in left side of my face I suddenly realized I couldn't move my right hand. It has now been about six hours after vomiting has stopped,
but my right hand doesn't move at all.
Could this drug cause a mini stroke like episode? Or was it truly a stroke?

We can not give medical advise, however from what you are experiencing I personally if it were myself, call the doctor and make an appt. I can not speak of experience of z pack, as I happen to be allergic to it. I get severe adnomal (sp) pain and cramping, as well as hives. So I stopped takng it years ago.

Yes, there is evidence that this drug may increase one's chances of having a heart attack or stroke. Please see a doctor ASAP with your current symptoms. Stroke damage is sometimes reversible if you get treatment right away.
