Need help with sinus allergies!

I've posted here before, but without any luck. I'm looking for help in both camps (natural & medicinal). I've taken Respir-all which contains large doses of Vitamin C and Quercetin to help with nasal congestion/stuffyness but without any luck. I've tried garlic, allergic to bee pollen, and drink a lot of water throughout the day and night.

Do antihistamines like allegra or claritin really help with Nasal Congestion? That's the only persistent symptom I have every single day!

What can you suggest for me?

Try a saline nasal spray and get a call into either an allergy doctor or ENT for further help..
Many well wishes and hope your feeling better soon, keep us posted as we do care...
and maybe add Zinc to what your already doing...

Might be a fungal sinus infection...an ENT may help...

I've had the most success, no cure though, in keeping my allergic rhinitis under control using XLEAR Nasal Wash, a spray from a company in Utah. It can be found on-line, and I think in some health-type stores now. I don't have a problem with nasal congestion, but having used both a nasal syringe, and XLEAR, I find the XLEAR much easier to use, and very effective.

I've also just started using A. Vogel Sinus Relief, a homeopathic product that can also be found on-line or possibly stores. It says for relief of sinus symptoms. That would include congestion. In the few times I've used it, I do feel a difference.

I'm getting as good result from just a cheap saline sinus wash at least once a day as I got for expensive sinus sprays. I've been trying all sorts of remedies for 4 years. My allergist has been as helpful as my ENT. I even had sinus surgery.

When I get pain in the cheeks and a lot of green drainage I get serious about the saline washes. If I can't clear it in a few days I know I need an antibiotic, so I see a doctor.

I prefer the Neil Med 750 ml bottles to some of the smaller brands. I'm sure there are other similar brands.) It's a lot better than the little 250 ml spray bottles. I can mix my own 1/2 tsp salt with a pinch of baking soda or use the packaged salt packets. The "sea salt" packets are no better than the plain salt and soda ones.

It's very important to use distilled water or boil your water if you want to use tap water!!!!! There have been instances of death from brain eating amoeba as far north as Wisconsin in people using tap water in sinus wash bottles. I posted the report about this earlier - see the search box.

See an allergist about getting a prescription nasal spray like nasonex or veramyst.
A neti pot also helps.
