Hello im 15 and i was diagnosed with asthma at age 2. I had a inhaler and nebulizer for awhile but the inhaler didnt help at all and the nebulizer worked and i didnt have asthmatic attacks. At the age of 6 i would go to get blood tests done every other week that stopped when i was 10 when i switched doctors and all my treatment stopped. Then in 7th grade the school year wasnt going well i was getting sent home a lot or not being able to go to school because i was coughing so much and my dad thought i had the flu or something. I have a inhaler again but it doesnt help at all and i cough and cough alot even if i use it. Last year in 9th grade i was feeling dizzy and coughing and could barely breathe. The nurse almost called a ambulance but got a hold of my parents. I used my inhaler and it didnt help and i got picked up and my dad took me home and i slept until the next day. Could i have CF and no one even thinking that that could be the case? I have relatives with it and they were misdiagnosed at first but i dont know if it could be that or if I'm overthinking it but why would a inhaler never help at all and i have no asthmatic attacks if i have asthma?

It's certainly possible, Differently Important. (Not going to use your chosen name, because I can already tell you're important.) You could also have a condition called GERD, which is caused by reflux into the esophagus that spills over into the trachea.
A chronic cough is also one of the hallmarks of cough-variant asthma.

As you can see, there are a number of things that could be causing this. You definitely need a complete evaluation by a good doctor. If you have a family doctor or pediatrician he may want to start the evaluation then refer you to a pulmonologist, who specialized in lung problems. Please do talk to your parents about this, and show them this forum if needed. Whatever is going on may be causing permanent damage to your lungs and needs to be investigated.

Welcome to the Allergy/Asthma forum!  It sounds as if your asthma is not being treated for the underlying cause--inflammation.  Like Judy2 said, you need to get into treatment with a good allergy/asthma specialist.  When you just use a rescue inhaler, you're treating the symptoms, rather than the cause (inflammation/allergy), and the lungs can become more and more inflamed, thus creating an even more critical breathing issue (like when the school nurse wanted to call an ambulance).

If your parents have insurance, you need to get an appointment with your primary care doc, and if he/she can't help you, get a referral to a good allergy/asthma doc. If not, get yourself in to a clinic for treatment.  Believe me, I know what you're going through, as I'm an asthmatic as well, and my problem started in my childhood. 

Please seek medical treatment.  They can give you an maintenance steroid inhaler that can reduce the inflammation in your lungs, which will heal them and make it less necessary to use your rescue inhaler.
