Nobody seems to care.  Husband dead 20 years now.  Weather in upstate NY very horrible.  I am so tired.  Think maybe I should see a shrink.  Mine retired a while back.  Feel angry and sad.

Wheezing has stopped but I am panting a lot.  Doctors are not aware of much like pollution contributing to asthma.  Used to set type professionally.

Lived in NYC.  Know there is an influenza virus C but the CDC is not tracking it because there are not many hospitals or deaths.  Other possibility is nose polups (spelling?)

So sorry you're feeling bad. We DO care here at HW. This awful winter truly has been the worst in a very long time. I wish the ice and snow would go away too. I'm in western PA, almost as bad as your location. But notice the sun is coming back, days getting longer. That means there is hope.

I can't say what might help your asthma, but maybe an allergist would have some suggestions.

An ENT could check if you have polyps and snip them out if there are any.

I hope you can get, and get to, a couple of appointments. I've had to cancel a couple because it was just too dangerous to go out. But March will be better!

And while we're waiting for March, if you're not on vitamin D you might consider it. Everyone comes back from a winter vacation in the south with a tan and feeling better. I know I get low in winter, had it tested, take 4000 IU a day. In summer I can cut back to half that. Just something to think about. When there's hope we feel better. (I figured out that when I fell and broke my neck and nobody around. Then I began to be able to move my toes and I said to myself, "there's hope!" And I started yelling and was found. Still have plenty of problems, but it's OK.

I've never heard of flue C. Did you get that? I'd love to hear back from you.

I agree with Alcie, and we do care...keep us posted how your doing. Hopefully the weather will improve in March for you...Check out the doctor's Alcie mentioned and see if they can be more helpful to you...

Thank you both so much.  turn Feel nutty with this awful winter.  Did not swim because of all the wheezing and panting.  I swim indoors most the year but we have an outdoor one too for summertime. 

Can't walk much because of the %^&*** arthritis and bad feet. Yes I take vitamin D came down with skin cancer.  Wear a blouse over my suit in the outdoor pool. 

CDC has a website on Influenza virus C which is respiratory.  Since there are very few hospitalizations and not much death, they don't study it much.

Am hanging in waiting for blue skies and the END OF SNOW.

When I had kids in high school I found out that the team's kids with asthma got much better during season. Their mom's said it seemed that their lungs were cleaned out or something and several of them didn't need any medicine at all during the season. Swim season here is the winter sport, starts in November.

I would love to be able to get to the Y warm pool. I've missed the last two years of swimming, summer and winter. Now it's so cold I have others going shopping and even down to the mailbox - 1/4 mile. Rotten central cord syndrome! Today I had the 3-y-o grandson put out the corn for the turkeys. High was 20, with wind.

Gee you sound Alcie like you are really suffering!   I hope to get to a Y pool on Weds.  I enjoy it very much.  My arthritis does not allow me to walk much.   Very slippy sliddeey here.

We have had so much snow but it seems to have stopped but very cold and windy.
