I am a 42 year old male, have been suffering for over 10 years with this illness. My EN&T surgeon has done numerous surgeries (6) and I have even had the Nissen Fundoplication for GERD.
The reason I am on this forum is because I have had sooooo many problems with ear, nose, throat discomfort and chest pain. My ears crack and tickle as does my throat. I have no known allergies, but I do know I am sick.
SCM is the muscle on both sides of your neck that stick out when you turn your head. I had a scalienectomy over a decade ago, which they removed the scalene muscle behind my collar bone and a rib.
I have a feeling that something is there, but nothing has ever been discovered there. The doctors tell me it is called globus hystericus.
My symptoms are: pain in left ear, head, throat, chest, and nausea. My arms and hands feel numb. All of my problems are only left side related.
Anyone with any info please let me know
