I Am just a doctor wanna be. I love to do research on diseases and understand the human body. And I hate to see people suffer. These are my understandings from the research I have done and my personal experiences. So I hope maybe someone can find relief like I did.
I have general family practice doc that use bio-identical hormones where needed. He seems to be pretty modern.
As I studied all my conditions I read that doctors are starting to associate a great deal of asthma to acid reflux.
I found this interesting and noticed that my young adopted brother with asthma had terrible reflux as a baby and was diagnosed with asthma by the age of 4.
If it is caused by acid it is something that seriously needs to be addressed as this can damage lungs, likely permanently.
My theory is that this damage can lead to pulmonary fibrosis, the disease that killed Marlon Brando. Being overweight can contribute to acid reflux and he was. I can imagine that chronic reflux could permanently damage lungs and we know it can cause Esophageal cancer.
So IN MY CASE-- the asthma was from acid -- from a loose stomach sphincter-- from Hypothyroidism.
