If you haven't met me before, I have recently developed a sulfite allergy. My chiropractor is concerned about long term use of Benedryl (I don't use it daily - he's thinking very long term) and I wondered if anyone is using essential oils? I use Young Living oils and many of them are food grade. I tried a lavender/lemon/peppermint combo earlier this week and it helped my sinuses but did nothing to lessen the light burning in my mouth. I'm going to try Ocotea next because it is supposed to help the body deal with irritations and inflammation from food.
Plus, has anyone done ALCAT testing? I know the traditional medical community believes it to be quackery, but I'm about done with traditional medicine anyway because they wouldn't believe me with my other grain related problems and my nurse practitioner (who I really like) has already admitted that she "doesn't know much" about this new sulfite problem. All that to say that I'm only interested in responses from those who have had it done. If you don't know anything about it, go to this website: www.alcat.com or www.whatsmyfoodintolerwnce.com. The test can be customized and you can be tested for chemicals, molds, herbs, etc. plus over 200 foods.
Thanks!
Debbie
